- Petter Mowinckel has had sailing as his greatest passion since 1969, with regatta sailing in various dinghy classes throughout his youth.
- Civil engineer from NTH, Marine Engineering Department. Delivered diploma thesis in collaboration with Birger Kullmann on "Optimization of IOR Miniton"
- Joined the design company Kullmann & Mowinckel, and designed and built several boats that did well on the regatta course.
- Participated in 6 World Championships in ¾ ton, Miniton and 11MOD
- Sailed trips along the Norwegian coast, across the North Sea, along the Mediterranean, crossed the Bay of Biscay and the Atlantic Ocean (ARC) with your own boat
- I am now on my own boat no. 15, and have carried out countless maintenance and improvement projects on most of these.
- Would like to help new sailors after 20 years in DNV, Det Norske Veritas.
