ELECTRONIC BATTERY SEPARATOR

Victron Argofet is an electronic battery separator that can be used to charge all the battery banks in your boat at the same time, regardless of whether you have lithium or lead-acid batteries for consumption.
Victron Argofet replaces diode separators (which generate a lot of heat and loss of charge).

To choose the right Argofet, you need to take into account the maximum charge over the Argofet and how many battery banks will be charged.
Victron Argofet can handle up to 100 amps or 200 amps in and has two or three outputs.
Take into account a possible upgrade of the alternator.
Our recommendation is to choose Victron Argofet 200-3. This will give you a good margin in most cases and a spare output if you only have two battery banks.

If you have an outboard with only one set of cables from the alternator and starter and want lithium batteries for consumption, choose Victron Cyrix LIT voltage-controlled relay.

What about DC DC charger to save the alternator?
You don't have to worry about that. The dynamo is designed to charge until the batteries are full regardless of whether you have lithium or lead-based batteries.
Recommendation: watch Makspower Techvideo # 1 on Youtube or on our website.

DC-DC charger is fine in motorhomes where Euro 6 has throttled charging to a minimum.
