SOLAR PANELS

Solar panels are a silent power source that provides a good supply of electricity, especially when the sun is shining.

Makspower solar panels have highly efficient SunPower Maxxeon Gen 3 cells.

Choice of solar panels:
Makspower SR Semirigid panels are thin, relatively rigid, can be mounted on even surfaces and can be stepped on.
Makspower RV flexible solar panels are thin, lightweight and suitable for installation on surfaces that cannot be stepped on.
Makspower folding solar panels are extremely practical. Unfold and put them in the sun, connect with clips or connector.

Placement of solar panels:
Shading will significantly reduce the effect whether the panel has "half cut cells" or other "smart" solutions in order to function optimally.
Placing solar panels on hatch covers or on the deck of sailing boats is not ideal. There are a lot of shadows and especially during sailing.
Instead, consider Makspower Semirigid panels that you put out in the sun and aim at the sun throughout the day. It's better with a smaller panel
without shade than a large panel with shade.

Connection:
We recommend connecting in parallel. Then you can connect more panels as needed.
Solar controller: Choose one of Victron's SmartSolar solar controllers with Bluetooth. Then you get all the information you need.

Contacts: Consider Victron Extention cable with waterproof connector. Then you can connect and disconnect panels as needed.
