Victron DC-DC Charger
Victron DC-DC charger from one battery bank to another.
Better charging in motorhomes with Euro 6, which means that the alternator is almost completely throttled and charging the storage battery/consumption bank takes far too long.
Boats with outboard motors usually have no output from the alternator other than the one that goes to the starter battery. If you want your own battery bank, AGM or Lithium batteries for consumption, the Victron DC-DC charger is a good solution.
Victron DC-DC chargers can be used in dual battery systems in vehicles or on boats where the alternator and starter battery charge the service battery. The unit is monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and remotely controlled via an external on/off switch.
The Orion-Tr charger can be used in 12 V or 24 V systems and is suitable for both lead and lithium batteries. Models are available up to 700 W (50 amps) and an unlimited number of units can be connected in parallel to increase output power.
Suitable for high temperatures up to 55°C with full power up to 40°C.
It is not necessary to use a DC-DC charger to save the alternator. An alternator is designed to charge to the maximum whether it is charging lead-acid batteries such as AGM and GEL or lithium batteries.
DC-DC Bluetooth Chargers from Victron with Bluetooth have different charging profiles or you can create your own in expert mode.
