Perhaps Norway's coolest sailboat, now with Makspower lithium batteries.
The battery capacity was almost tripled and the weight reduced by almost 350 kg.
Makspower lithium batteries can be connected in series in 24 volts and up to 48 volts. It was crucial that the batteries could be connected in series.
The existing monitoring system is still functioning normally but it does not read LiFePO4 batteries correctly.
Makspower has developed other batteries that are also very compact.

Why do this?
CoCo is the family's holiday home. Grandparents, children and grandchildren come here to relax, sleep undisturbed and enjoy boating.
On board, there is an induction hob, oven and ordinary household appliances. To use this, the generator must be started. Generators create vibrations and turbulence in most boats. If the battery bank is large enough and the inverter capacity sufficient, food can be prepared without a sound.
The family can sleep undisturbed while eggs and bacon are fried, coffee is brewed, rolls are baked in the oven and everything is ready for breakfast, dinner or supper.
